AndesCampers participates in ATWS Summit 2015!

During the week of October 5th to 9th, AndesCampers actively participated in the Adventure Travel World Summit (ATWS) 2015, where the host country was Chile.

The Adventure Travel Trade Association is an international organization that works to promote the industry of adventure tourism and has members from over 84 countries. They were the ones that chose Chile for their 12th summit, while the next Summit 2016 event will be held in Alaska.

Under the sentence: "Long live the revolution of adventure" (Viva la revolución de la Aventura) and the promise of seeing Chile as a new emerging destination for tourism adventure, the event gathered more than 700 delegates who saw and experienced the amazing landscapes that Chile offers in the DOA (day of adventure) and enjoyed the attractions that Puerto Varas and its surroundings has to offer.

The delegates could choose to experience the following types of adventures: cultural, natural or experimental, in this last section the activities were trekking, kayaking, rafting, bicycle, mountain climbing, snowshoeing, among many others. After the DOA, the 2015 Summit was just about to begin.

The second day was the Chile Day, where through the national cuisine, music, souvenirs and a great staging, the event managed to enchant the summit's visitors. In the afternoon, the event continued at the Teatro del Lago, on the Frutillar area.

The founder of Adventure Travel Trade Association: Shannon Stowell, was the one in charge of welcoming the new 12th edition of ATWS Summit 2015. Other interesting participants of the conference were: Douglas Tompkins, collaborator for the conservation of forests in the south of Chile, Chilean President Michelle Bachelet, who gave a public account about future investment for the tourism industry in Chile, and Elizabeth Becker, leading author of successful books related to tourism. The welcoming event ended with the traditional folkloric dance show Bafochi, which was warmly appreciated by the audience.

The week of the Adventure Travel World Summit 2015 had numerous seminars about the tourism industry and new trends. The Marketplace and the Media Connect were spaces directed to the delegates, so they could meet and connect with other professionals of the industry. The event ended on October 9th with a big party in the Volcanes lounge of the Hotel Patagonia, where the event was terminated.

Of course AndesCampers was present at the event, by promoting its new product: Rent of Campers and Motorhomes in Chile and its neighbor countries. This is a new service that has been incorporated into the growing supply of tourist services that our country currently have.

AndesCampers offers the opportunity to travel to these wonderful landscapes in total autonomy and the chance of living amazing experiences!
